iCON OS Compatibility Update

iCON Device COMPATIBILITY UPDATE As of 5 June 2024

Apple M2 and MacOS 14 Sonoma: All current iCON hardware and software is now fully compatible with the macOS 14 Sonoma Operating System and the M2 chip. Generation One versions of the QCon Pro and QCon EX are also compatible with Sonoma and the M2 with an update to firmware version 1.25. Some legacy devices are not compatible as of Big Sur or Monterey such as the Platform U22 and Ultra4 audio interfaces. Please check your device’s product page for updated OS compatibility information.

Windows 11: All current iCON hardware and software is fully compatible with Windows 11. Legacy audio interfaces Pro Drive III and later are compatible with Windows 11. Older audio interfaces including the UMix 1008 Satellite are not compatible with Windows 11. Please check your device’s product page for updated OS compatibility information.

QCon Series, Platform Series and iKeyboard Series devices have Limited Compatibility with AMD, Apple M1 Ultra, M1 Max, M1 Pro, and M2  Processors: Updating to our latest firmware versions can bring your iCON controller into full compatibility with AMD, M2, M1 Ultra, M1 Max and M1 Pro processors, however, OUR FIRMWARE UPGRADE DEVICE IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH AMD, M2, M1 ULTRA, M1 MAX OR M1 PRO. Please download the latest iMAP and update your iCON device to the latest firmware on an M1 or an Intel computer. Again, your iCON device will work on an AMD, Apple M2, M1 Ultra, M1 Max or M1 Pro computer, but you will need to upgrade to the latest firmware on an Intel or M1 computer BEFORE you switch to the new computer.

iCON audio interfaces (hardware versions Pro-Drive III and later), iO Pro, ProDriver 4 and the firmware upgrade tool are fully compatible with AMD, M2, M1 Ultra, M1 Max and M1 Max Pro processors.

Thank you very much.

  1. Hi, my icontrols devices are not recognize by my mac book pro M1 Max
    What can i do?

    THanks

    1. Your iControls devices should be recognized on your M1 Max MacBook Pro after you update the firmware on an Intel or M1 CPU machine. The firmware upgrade device is not compatible with M1 Max, but the latest firmware should work if you upgrade on an older Mac.

  2. Hello,

I just bought a new Platform M+ and I can’t get it to work.

I am running macOS on an iMac late 2015 i5 with Monterey 12.4 installed.
From what I just read above, there is a 1.25 firmware update for Monterey.
I do not see a download for it on your website. Please help.

    Thanks,
    Curtis Griffin

    1. Download the latest iMAP for the Platform M+ and that will give you the latest version of the firmware.
