DT-6A Air

The iCON DT-Air series was developed by the well know Danish acoustics engineer and designer,Jens Schonemann-Paul. Mr.Schonemann-Paul has a Master of Science in audio and acoustics from the Technical University of Denmark and 20 years experience in all categories of the loudspeaker industry. He has worked with a number of renowned
companies including Bang & Olufsen and Dynaudio among others developing a vast number of leading products. Many of Mr.Schonemann-Paul’s products have set new standards in the consumer as well as the automotive market – and not least the professional recording and broadcast business.

Jens Schonemann-Paul and our R&D team have spent tremendous effort and resources in designing and tuning this DT-Air series to perfection in a more than two year long process. The loudspeaker driver units are custom designed in close cooperation with our suppliers and all models have finally been fine-tuned by ear to fulfill any requirements in the tough and exacting recording industry.

The ICON DT-6A air Active Studio Monitor System provides a smooth and accurate response which makes the system pleasant to listen to. It is equipped with ICON’s innovative “AirCon” wireless control module which enables you to have ultimate wireless control of your studio settings. Here are some of its main features:

• Very rigid die-cast aluminum chassis with very open geometry for optimized air-flow to eliminate compression

Tweeter

• High-end 1” dome tweeter
• Soft fabric dome and surround with wide-dispersion optimized geometry
• Big surround to reduce distortion
• Low loss ferrofluid-free magnet system for open and detailed sound
• Heavy ferrite under hung dual magnet system for high sensitivity and low distortion
• Extended and air-flow optimized back cavity to ensure low compression and low resonance frequency

Cabinet
