iCON Device COMPATIBILITY UPDATE
MacOS 13 Ventura:
iCON DAW Controllers, audio interfaces, MIDI controllers and software products are NOT YET listed as compatible with MacOS 13 Ventura. Please DO NOT UPDATE to this operating system until further notice.

Apple M1 and MacOS 12 Monterey: Most current iCON hardware and software is now fully compatible with the macOS 12 Monterey Operating System and the M1 chip. Generation One versions of the QCon Pro and QCon EX are also compatible with Monterey and the M1 with an update to firmware version 1.25. Some legacy devices are not compatible with Big Sur or Monterey such as the Platform U22 and Ultra4 audio interfaces. Please check your device’s product page for updated OS compatibility information.

Windows 11: Most current iCON hardware and software is fully compatible with Windows 11. Legacy audio interfaces Pro Drive III and later are compatible with Windows 11. Older audio interfaces including the UMix 1008 Satellite are not compatible with Windows 11. Please check your device’s product page for updated OS compatibility information.

Limited Compatibility with AMD, Apple M1 Max, M1 Ultra and M1 Pro Processors: Updating to our latest firmware versions can bring your iCON controller into full compatibility with AMD, M1 Max, M1 Ultra and M1 Pro processors, however, OUR FIRMWARE UPGRADE DEVICE IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH AMD, M1 MAX, M1 ULTRA OR M1 PRO. Please download the latest iMAP and update your iCON device to the latest firmware on an M1 or an Intel computer. Again, your iCON device will work on an AMD, Apple M1 Max, M1 Ultra or M1 Pro computer, but you will need to upgrade to the latest firmware on an Intel or M1 computer BEFORE you switch to the new computer.

Further testing has shown that the QCon Pro X is not consistently compatible with Apple’s Silicon processors. While an update to firmware version 2.08 or later seems to work for some users, the controller tends to freeze during normal use. We have determined that the problem is the USB hub on the back of the QCon Pro X. Some users have corrected this using a powered Thunderbolt hub, and others have had success with iCON’s OneHub. In our testing, we have found our new hub, the CH-1, works consistently with Apple Silicon computers.  If you would like, you can order a CH-1 USB hub direct from our factory in Guangzhou while supplies last at this link: iCON CH-1 USB Hub.

iCON audio interfaces (hardware versions Pro-Drive III and later), ProDriver 4 and the firmware upgrade tool are fully compatible with AMD, M1 Max and M1 Max Pro processors.

As for the upcoming Apple’s M2 and M2 Max chips, we expect to achieve compatibility in a reasonable amount of time. Please DO NOT UPDATE to these systems until further notice.

Thank you very much.
